PROCEDURE FOR SUBMITTING IMPROVEMENTS OR EXTERIOR ADDITIONS
TO ARCHITECTURE COMMITTEE (WBHOA)

*AS REQUIRED IN THE WILLOW BLUFFS COVENANTS:

NO BUILDING, FENCE, WALL OR OTHER STRUCTURE SHALL BE COMMENCED, ERECTED OR MAINTAINED UPON
THE PROPERTIES, NOR SHALL ANY EXTERIOR ADDITION TO OR CHANGE OR ALTERATION THEREIN BE MADE UNTIL
THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS SHOWING THE NATURE, KIND, SHAPE, HEIGHT, MATERIALS, AND LOCATION OF
THE SAME SHALL HAVE BEEN SUBMITTED TO AND APPROVED IN WRITING AS TO HARMONY OF EXTERNAL DESIGN
AND LOCATION IN RELATION TO SURROUNDING STRUCTURES AND TOPOGRAPHY BY AN ARCHITECTURAL
COMMITTEE FROM THE BOARD.

* ARTICLE V COVENANTS

(STEP 1) SUBMIT IN WRITING AN IMPROVEMENT REQUEST ALONG WITH A COPY OF BUILDING PERMITS (IF REQUIRED) AND INFORMATION TO THE ARCHITECTURAL COMMITTEE .

(STEP 2) SUBMIT REQUEST VIA E-MAIL OR BY POST OFFICE BOX.

(STEP 3) AS PER COVENANTS: THE COMMITTEE HAS THIRTY DAYS IN WHICH TO NOTIFY HOME OWNERS OF AN APPROVAL OR DECLINE DECISION OR THE REQUESTS WILL BE CONSIDERED APPROVED.


**SHEDS**

SHEDS SHOULD BE MADE OF WOOD AND HAVE A SHINGLED ROOF, THE EXTERIOR SHOULD BE PAINTED OR HAVE SIDING THAT MATCHES THE COLOR SCHEME OF THE HOUSE.

THE LOCATION OF SHEDS SHOULD FOR THE MOST PART BE IN THE REAR OR IN A LOCATION THAT DOES NOT DISRUPT THE HARMONY OF THE SURROUNDINGS. THIS IS AN ISSUE THAT CAN BE WORKED OUT ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS.


**FENCES**

FENCES SHOULD BE LOCATED NEAR BUT NOT ON TOP OF PROPERTY LINES AND SHOULD BE LIMITED TO A HEIGHT OF SIX FEET. THEY SHOULD BE WOODEN OR HAVE WOODEN FRONTS THAT FACES THE STREET. (NO CHAIN LINK FENCES ALLOWED).


**GARAGES **

GARAGES SHOULD BE PLACED ON THE PROPERTY ACCORDING TO THE WAKE COUNTY MINIMUM BUILDING SETBACK LIMITS AS SHOWN ON THE RECORDED PLAT OF THE SUBDIVISION. A COPY OF THE BUILDING PERMIT IS NEEDED FOR APPROVAL BY THE BOARD.


NOTE: WHEN SUBMITTING REQUESTS FOR FENCES AND SHEDS, PLEASE INCLUDE A SKETCH SHOWING LOCATION IN RELATION TO PROPERTY LINES AND HOUSE.
